Three Piece Party! Pt. 1 - The Drive Down

To us, hosting a drift event was daunting for a few reasons:
The calendar is already packed with drift events on the east coast
We didn't know if there would be enough interest for a three-piece wheel event
We have never run an event before
While our roots are in the drift scene, majority of our customers aren't drifters so it felt like a risk. We wanted 3PP to be a style event with more chill driving on cool wheels which has always been our vibe.
Getting everyone together on the Friday to head down was chaotic in itself.
There was a flight rerouted at midnight on the Thursday to Gold Coast, a minor car accident the morning before we left, and multiple cars that were only finished the night before or hadn't been driven in years.
We passed about five different highway patrol on the way down and they didn't bat an eye which was surprising. So the drive ended up being more chill than expected.
We got to the track around 5pm and people were unpacking or already set up.
We had a really different variety of cars compared to what we have been seeing in the drift scene lately. There were mostly Silvias, R31s and E36s but a few oddballs like Bluebirds and Z cars.
But most importantly, three-piece wheels.
